Shift

A short film by James Croke

After a series of controversial experiments, Adam (Lindsay Farris), once a rising star of the scientific community, finds his reputation ruined and his funding withdrawn. Determined to prove his genius and silence his critics, Adam plans an elaborate heist. However, as with any experiment, no matter how meticulously planned, luck has its part to play.

James’ short film, Shift (2014), which he wrote, directed and produced was screened at over twenty film festivals worldwide, including Palm Springs, Cinequest and Raindance. Shift has won multiple awards including Best Australian Film at Sandfly Film Festival, Best Sci-Fi at Reale Film Festival and Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy at Monza Film Fest and Hollywood Blood Horror Festival where James also won Best First Time Director. Among many individual accolades, Shift won two ACS awards (Australian Cinematography Society) and the Australian Production Design Guild award for design on a short film.
